Eaton Sofa Group

The triple-arched backs and carved crests of this group are a tribute to a Victorian design popular from 1855-1870. Like the originals, the frames of the sofa, chair and tables are solid wood, exquisitely hand carved and hand finished. The backs of the sofa and chair are constructed with an serpentine wood rail that runs down the arms and meets the front legs. The crests feature scrolls and foliated flowers in high relief. The front and side aprons are distinguished by dramatic carvings of florets and leaves. Note also the distinctive carved hand grips and heavy scroll feet. The upholstery is hand-sewn and finished off with a welt trim. Three complementary fabrics are used on the backs, loose cushions and throw pillows. The thick, high density foam within the backs and the deep loose cushions on the seats provide optimum support and comfort. The matching tables shaped glass tops. All pieces are given a antique walnut finish with gold detailing. Throw pillows shown are included with purchase. Available only in the fabric-finish combination shown.
