Blades Club Sofa Group

This elaborately carved group is faithfully modeled after a design popular from 1840 to 1865. Like the originals, the frames of the sofa, chair and tables are solid wood, exquisitely hand carved and hand finished. The backs of the sofa and chair are constructed with an undulating wood rail that runs down the arms and meets the front legs. The crests feature scrolls and foliated flowers in high relief. The front and side aprons are distinguished by dramatic pierced wood carvings. Note also the finger-molded hand grips and scroll feet. The upholstery is hand-sewn and finished with a welt trim. Three complementary fabrics are used on the backs, loose cushions and throw pillows. The thick, high density foam within the backs and the deep loose cushions on the seats provide optimum support and comfort. The matching tables are topped with beveled marble. All pieces are given a mahogany finish with gold detailing. Throw pillows shown are included with purchase. Available only in the fabric-finish combination shown.
