In this unique collection, Magnolia Hall offers a dining room inspired by English antiques of the early 1800's. The tall, fluted posts and pilasters, the carved feet and aprons, the framed doors and drawers all reflect the workmanship and close attention to detail in that period. Scrolls, shells and egg-and-dart moldings add to the authenticity. The finish is a two-toned burnished mahogany with a slightly distressed surface to accentuate the antique look. Like the originals, this luxurious collection incorporates many traditional techniques in its construction.
All drawers are dovetailed for optimum strength. Drawers are also dustproofed and feature metal guides with a built-in stop. All cabinets are braced with solid wood corner blocks, glued and screwed in place to provide perfect rigidity. The serpentine-shaped dining table is built with fancy faced top with diagonal cut mahogany fields with maple and mahogany borders. Other features include elaborately carved aprons and cabriole legs. The serpentine-front china cabinet has three curved doors with raised and scrolled moldings, mirrored back, three-way touch lighting, plate groove in back shelf rail, and adjustable wooden shelf behind each door. The server has a stone top, mirrored back, cabriole posts on rack, plate grooves on bottom of rack, and two doors with beveled glass. Built on solid hardwood frames with select mahogany and maple veneers.
Chairs are solid wood with carved and pierced back splat, carved front legs, and seat upholstered in beige damask.
