Castellana Dining Room

Victorians were particularly fond of the Italianate style in both architecture and interior design. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, no less, chose the Italianate style for the rebuilding of Osborne House on the Isle of Wight. And Victorian aristocrats made frequent forays to Venice and Florence to hunt for pictures, textiles and elaborately carved furniture. Magnolia Hall is pleased to offer a luxurious collection that faithfully incorporates the great design features of the Italian influence. At the center of this group is a massive double pedestal table, which will easily seat twelve. Note the hand-carved leaves on the pedestals, feet and table corners. To suit your taste, we offer two styles of chairs, the Round Back (with fabric on both sides) or the Queen Anne (with wood back splat). The China Cabinet features adjustable wood shelf behind the lower doors, adjustable glass shelves above, dovetailed drawers, drop-in felt silverware holder, and three-way interior touch light. The Sideboard comes with a laminated marble top. Crafted in select oak and white ash veneers on birch solids, the group is finished in an antique white that reveals the grain of the wood and suggests the look of polished stone.
