Dartmoor Canopy Bedroom

This breathtaking ensemble is inspired by English antiques of the early 1800's. The tall, fluted posts and pilasters, the carved feet and aprons, the framed doors and drawers all reflect the workmanship and close attention to detail in that period. Scrolls, shells and egg-and-dart moldings add to the authenticity. The finish is a two-toned burnished mahogany with a slightly distressed surface to accentuate the antique look. Like the originals, this luxurious collection incorporates many traditional techniques in its construction.

All drawers are dovetailed for optimum strength. Drawers are also dustproofed and feature metal guides with a built-in stop. All cabinets are braced with solid wood corner blocks, glued and screwed in place to provide perfect rigidity. The bed posts are connected with metal screws and metal receptacles to allow for assembly and disassembly over and over. A patented rail locking system provides an extra-sturdy, extra-strong frame. Built on solid birch frames with select cherry veneers.

Nightstand is constructed with stone top. Dresser has adjustable wooden shelf behind two doors. All door and drawer pulls are antiqued brass finish hardware.
